NORTH STAFFORD [STAFFORDSHIRE REGT] PRINCE OF WALES CAP BADGE
A fine bi metal cap badge, with blow holes & slider to reverse

During World War Two (1939-45), 1st Battalion saw action in Burma from 1942 to 1943. 2nd Battalion, meanwhile, fought in the retreat to Dunkirk (1940) and the landings in Tunisia and Italy in 1943. Its final wartime posting was to Palestine in February 1945, where it remained until the British withdrawal in 1948. That year the regimentís two battalions moved to Egypt and merged.
